LIVE – B CORP

Mission Statement

ViVi aims to contribute to people's well-being and serenity by offering natural and environmentally friendly foods, served with love in beautiful places, for a greener, kinder, and brighter planet.

The ViVi philosophy has always been open to initiatives that go beyond simple business. From choosing organic to fighting food waste, from investing in renewable energy sources to free yoga at Villa Pamphili, from charity dinners to obtaining organic certification for our food laboratory: we believe that changing the world is possible.

For this reason, ViVi, formerly a Benefit Corporation, has worked to obtain the coveted B Corp (Benefit Corporation) certification, which attests to the high standards supported by the brand from a social and environmental standpoint.

WHAT WE DO
FOR THE COMMON GOOD

ViVi was born green—organic, plastic-free, and environmentally friendly—and has grown ever cleaner. Today, our restaurants serve clean food and are powered by Italian renewable sources. Our lab is covered with photovoltaic panels, and our menus feature plenty of plant-based options, including the delicious plant-based meat we were among the first to offer in Italy. We are committed to the zero-mile philosophy and offer free cooking lessons. Yoga in the park. The 'Let's Clean Up the Park' initiative at Villa Pamphili, the fundraising to treat diseased pine trees, the dinner in support of Afghan refugees, the agreement with Rebibbia prison for the employment of inmates at the end of their sentences, and the many charitable projects in collaboration with ACLI Roma (social promotion association) are just some of the positive impact initiatives that ViVi has carried out over the years.

Certification Note

The “B Corporation Certification” is a trademark licensed by B Lab, a private non-profit organization, to companies that, like ours, have successfully passed the B Impact Assessment (“BIA”) and therefore meet B Lab’s requirements in terms of social and environmental performance, responsibility, and transparency.

Please note that B Lab is not a conformity assessment body pursuant to Regulation (EU) No. 765/2008 or a national, European, or international standards body pursuant to Regulation (EU) No. 1025/2012. BIA criteria are distinct and independent from the harmonized standards resulting from ISO standards or other standards bodies and are not ratified by national or European public institutions.

Our philosophy

Over time, we have consolidated relationships with several local, certified organic producers. By prioritizing local, ethical, and sustainable suppliers, we have created a true synergy with our producers. This relationship allows us to engage with them in our goals, with the ultimate goal of making our customers happy and satisfied in every way, including their health. Our wines are selected from organic, biodynamic, and natural wineries, guaranteeing a high-quality choice that respects the environment.

Who's behind ViVi?

Cristina Cattaneo and Daniela Gazzini, founders and owners of the brand

Cristina Cattaneo

“Becoming a Benefit Corporation was a natural progression for us. It meant being able to state in our corporate purpose, by virtue of our daily actions, that our purpose is to contribute to a positive impact on society and the biosphere. ViVi is at the forefront of promoting an economy that respects the planet and the people who inhabit it, for better and more responsible living. We have always believed in a lifestyle that reflects these values, and we are happy to share them with our loyal community.”

Daniela Gazzini

“There's a whole world behind every dish you serve. It's made up of farmers and ranchers, raw materials, energy sources, labor relations, logistics, right down to the products you use to clean your premises. Do you recycle? Do you save money? How do your employees travel? Thanks to the B Corp movement, we've had the opportunity to analyze every aspect of our business from a social and environmental perspective—to improve it. B Corp certification means we're a regenerative company, giving back to our customers, staff, the environment, and the local community more than we take away. And this fills us with pride and makes us want to always do better.”
