Our friendship with Afghan refugees The story of those who fled the country in 2021 has a long history. It was September last year when a group of refugees was welcomed into the Monte Mario convent across from Le Serre. They were young women and families who had fled the war with nothing but a strong desire to start over. For us at ViVi, it was the beginning of a friendship that continues to this day.
""Life starts again with a woman" is the tagline of the Pangea Onlus Foundation, and it's also one of the reasons we chose this foundation for our small charity sale. Small but we hope it will be significant.
