Plant-based meat arrives on Vivi menus!

Imagine a burger made with pea or legume protein, offering a surprisingly meat-like texture. In recent years, plant-based alternatives to meat have become one of the most exciting food trends on the culinary scene.

Even in the VIVI menus, we have chosen to offer, alongside organic meat burgers, some plant-based alternatives: a flavorful veggie burger and a wrap with veggie “chicken” bites, avocado, and cherry tomatoes.

A proposal designed for those who want to vary their diet or simply try something new.

Meat or no meat?

In recent years, more and more people have been reflecting on the environmental impact of food production. Several international studies indicate that intensive livestock farming can significantly contribute to greenhouse gas emissions and the consumption of natural resources.

For this reason, interest in plant-based alternatives to meat and more diverse dietary patterns is growing.

The technology behind plant-based meat

New plant-based alternatives are born from advanced research in food science. Starting with plant proteins—often peas or legumes—fibrous structures are created that resemble the consistency of meat.

Thanks to innovative processing techniques and the use of natural spices and flavors, the result is a surprisingly tasty and versatile food.

Why try it?

Plant-based alternatives to meat can be an interesting option for those who want to:

• vary your diet

• reduce meat consumption

• experiment with new flavors

Many of these options are also cholesterol-free and contain plant-based proteins.

Do we save the world by licking our chops?

Maybe that's too big a question.

What we do know is that these new proposals are tasty, curious and increasingly present in kitchens around the world.

This is why we have also included them in the VIVI menus.

Try them and tell us what you think.
