Energy is a silent presence in the life of every restaurant. It turns on the lights in the morning, powers the ovens in the kitchen, and accompanies our guests' days. That's why, at a certain point, we decided to carefully examine our energy bills. As is often the case, the electricity we used came from the national energy mix, which also includes fossil fuels. From that awareness a simple question was born: could we have made a different choice? After some research we decided to rely on an energy supplier, the group LifeGate, which offers electricity supplies covered by Guarantees of Origin from renewable sources produced in Italy. This system certifies that an amount of energy equivalent to our consumption has been produced by plants powered by renewable sources. The transition was quick and easy: all we needed to do was activate a new supply contract and change energy provider.
We don't believe that one choice alone can solve the environmental challenges of our time. But we do believe that every business can question its own habits and guide its decisions toward more informed solutions.
For us, this is one of the paths we have chosen to follow.
We understand that energy is a complex issue and that no activity is without impact. However, we believe it's important to orient our decisions toward solutions that promote the development of renewable energy and greater awareness of resource use.
